Come enjoy the beautiful natural setting and charming ambiance of Round da Bay Inn. This retreat is not just for aspiring novelists; it is carefully designed to provide the necessary skills and tools to anyone interested in improving their writing and editing.

Learn how to plot, research, and draft a novel from best selling author Genevieve Graham. Genevieve will take you through the who, what, and why aspects that are integral to any story. Enjoy a cosy setting to ask questions, work with others who share your passion, and have quiet time to work on your book. 

Understand why having your novel professionally edited is so important. Cassandra will help you master some editing basics, such as what to look for at the developmental editing stage and how to create your own style guide. Also covered are writing query letters and finding an agent.

When not in classes, explore the rugged majesty of the Bonavista Peninsula. Day excursions are planned to provide you with the invigoration and tranquility so important to writing. Chris and Karen Ricketts are pleased to host you at their Inn. You won't be disappointed with their legendary Newfoundland hospitality and delicious menu.

As a bonus, Cassandra is happy to offer a complimentary one-chapter edit or review of your latest project. Work must be emailed to her no later than Sunday, September 1. It will be returned the week of the retreat with comments and suggestions. These reviews will only be completed upon full registration and payment.

$1250 for single occupancy
$1100 for double occupancy
